    Great features, user-friendly, but expensive and inconsistent with accents

    Useful Feature: If you need to change a word or phrase in your narration, you can simply type the new text, and Descript will generate the audio in your voice.

    Pros:

    1. The user interface is intuitive.

    2. Lots of AI features.

    3. Multiple users can collaborate on a project simultaneously.

    Cons:

    1. Occasional errors, especially with accents.

    2. Pricing is quite high compared to other AI subtitle generators.

    Step 1: Sign Up or Log In to Descript

    Step 2:  Import Your Video

      • Drag and drop your video file into Descript and wait a few seconds for automatic transcription.
      • If your audio contains multiple speakers, you'll be prompted to use Speaker Detective to help Descript identify and label them for you.

    Step 3: Edit Subtitles

      • Edit the transcript to correct any errors.
      • You can edit any errors directly in the transcript using Correct mode (press C), or use an AI action like Remove filler words to remove repetition and filler like "um" or "like". Descript will sync these changes with the video, ensuring the subtitles match the timing of the spoken dialogue.

    Step 4: Export Subtitles

      • Go to the "Publish" tab and select "Export".
      • Choose "Subtitles" and select SRT or VTT format.
      • Export your video with embedded subtitles or save the subtitle file separately.
